  3. Hey Katonah,

When listening to Jef Lee Johnson's "The Singularity" I had a bit of an epiphany that it reminds me of Lewis Taylor's "Whoever" ep.

Check it out, I'm curious what you think.

  8. Btw @ Art Simon.
I had a direct request from Lewis Taylor to remove his material from here.

  9. Not sure thats our "Ron" Simon !!!
From the picture on the back, Ron appears to be a white guy with an early eighties jazz beard

  10. Just hitting Jef Lee Johnson Art. Very similar To Lewis taylor, bit more "rocky" maybe.

@ Hoochie; thanks for the feedback, the whole thing is a joy

  11. Nice track. It has a commercial
    flavor without "swinging heavily
    towards the discofunk dollar".
    (Simon's great phrase).
More artistically successful than most. Ironic that its so obscure.
    thanks!

  12. @ katonah - strange, the text under the article about Ron in that newsletter has " ...and recorded a jazz album with his former band Quintessence". Hmmm... the Two Ronnies ??
Just waking up and listening again, such a nice track, thanks again :)

  18. Just noticed you added the back cover, thanks. Can see the source of the confusion about Ron's identity : although he's at the centre, he's a bit behind the others, unusual for a leader :)

  29. Hi Ron

    That sounds really cool.
Could you compress them into a zip file, then upload that file to a free cloud site, like Mediafire. Once it's uploaded to the cloud, a link will pop up.

Then just copy and paste that link into a comment here.

Once there here i'd love to post them here as special if that's fine with you.

Failing we'll sort a way of sharing e-mail if that's easier.
