ReplyDeleteBought this album 2 months ago from an Italian shop but it never arrived (at least I got my money back), so I may be a little happier about your post than others - cheers! :)
ReplyDeletethanks katonah
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all of the wonderful post. Do you think you will ever post the Ahmed Abdullah Life's Force recording? It's an lp I lost a flood in a few years ago and was very excited to see it here. Again, thank you for wonderful post.
ReplyDeleteGood one katonah, thanks
ReplyDeleteHave been curious to hear something from this album.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds excellent.
Thanks Katonah.
Thanks for sharing this katonah. I'm not familiar with Abdullah but by the descriptions, it does sound worth the listen.
ReplyDeletepeace.
Thanks Katonah, I can't wait to hear this one!
ReplyDeletePeace bro...
Great post. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the 'Life Force' post. This record sounds like a winner. :)
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone own any vinyl from About Time Records? I'd like to pick up the Ahmed Abdullah and Jerome Cooper LP's, but I'm curious about the pressing quality. I've heard one Threadgill LP ('JTFAPTB') from this label and it was quite noisy throughout.
this was a sealed copy, and found it just fine. did have a copy of bert myrick on strata (not east) that was a bit ropey.
ReplyDeletevery nice, thanks for the tip
ReplyDeletehere i discovered Ahmed Abdullah, so i drop a link for who is interested.
ReplyDeleteit's a live at Old Cabell Hall, Virginia University in 1990, about two hours of very good music, very rare too.
