The Real ShooBeeDoo

Reminiscing; The Real ShoobeeDoo.
Recorded 1981, Wenha Records Co, 81 Chandler st, Detroit.

Only one track, but what a bomb! Very very rare album on Wendell Harrison's own private label from 1981. Killer bass lines from this, the title track.

Reginald "ShooBeeDoo" Fields; Basses and vocals
Billy McCoy; Electric piano
Tani Tabal; Percussions
Wendell Harrison; Tenor and vocals
Allen Barns; Tenor
Pamela Wise; Vocals

  16. YIKES 45 minutes to download one song? Is this for full dramatic effect?

MediaFire is giving this song the royal treatment!

    Thanks Katonah...I'm salivating.

  18. got no idea why it's taking so long to download .. would it help if i re-upped it? different host maybe?

  19. Mediafire just seems to do that with the occasional specific upload. Should be OK even if you re-up it to Mediafire again.

  23. Man, I can't believe that I found this here. This guy used to hang out at my school in Detroit and play with our little jazz band sometimes. Fun guy, great player, lots of stories, including involvement in the Attica uprising. A little later used to see him play at local bars with guys like Wendell Harrison. Looking forward to hearing another part of my lost Motor City past. Thanks a lot.
