Killer Silver : LIVE!!!

Been hitting the delights of Horace Silver far to much just lately. All of them, Finger Poppin', Blowing the Blues Away and of course The Cape Verdean Blues (tasty)
So here's some super rare, super sweet Silver, live. Four dynamite tracks including Senor Blues, Me and my Baby and Nica's Dream. In the words of a certain blogmaster;
All Killer, No Filler

  2. Killer Silver, indeed! Thank you for posting this. The track listed as "unknown" in none other than Blowin' The Blues Away.

    Do you have any discographical information for this recording?

    Thanks again

  3. Thanks for the info Preslives, have to say this one's a zero info moment. I've tended to overlook Mr Silver in the past, not anymore.

  4. Thanks Katonah for the beautiful post. The fourth song is Sister Sadie. That is definitely Blue Mitchell and Junior Cook on trumpet and tenor saxophone. I am assuming Gene Taylor on bass.I can't tell if it's Louis Hayes or Roy Brooks.

  21. Looks like 1960. Brooks not Hayes. Could be Newport 1960.

  22. Newport. July 3, 1960. Video to Senor Blues is on YouTube.
