Archie Shepp

Archie Shepp Sextet : Mariamar.
Recorded in Rome for Horo 16th october 1975.

Beautful track that was pinpointed by Bacoso. Charles Greenlee and Irio de Paula are in the mix, highly recomended. Tres Ideias.

  9. The Horo reissues by Atomic Records are rip-offs. The guys at Atomic Records have just copied some LPs on CDs, that's all. They don't own a single HORO master, so they're just a bunch of dishonest guys. All HORO Records, fully remastered, will be distributed worldwide between January and June 2010, starting with a 3 CD package by Freddie Hubbard (wirth David Schnitter, Billy Childs, Larry Klein and Carl Burnett) and with a never before released duo by Dave Burrell and Sam Woodyard. Best, Gianni M. Gualberto

  10. Many thanks for the info, Gianni M. Gualberto.

Never knew these cd's were bootlegs. I bought mine in hmv on Oxford street !! Just goes to show how easy it can be to distribute this stuff. Looking forward to picking copies of the real remastered Horo catalogue next year.
