me and monhub are gonna put together a sun ra thing for the 30th may and we have asked a number of the planets cool musos to contribute a cover of any track. I am also looking for people to record snippets of what sun ra means to you and this could be reflected in say a poem, a video or whatever you feel maybe appropriate?
Wann a get involved? Would need submissions by first week in may, leave a comment and ill get back to you in more depth… The final project then will be turned into an iPhone app release on itunes a few weeks after. If we charge for this then the proceeds will go to a philadelphia based charity that has something to do with musical enlightenment if such a project exists, again i would ask for suggestions?
